The Camry Hybrid series started with XV40 and it was the first carmy which had a gasoline/electric hybrid drive train. It was known as the "Toyota Camry Hybrid", manufactured by Toyota. This Hybrid was introduced in January 2006. These Hybrids were manufactured in Japan and United States.
For the North American International Auto Show, Toyota worked on the styling of Carmy Hybrid. A face lifted version debuted at the January 2009. This change was done by a central air dam, vertically slotted fog lamps, and a single-blade grille. From the rear, thus the interior looked truly newly designed and fuel efficiency was also increased.
It is the most sold Hybrid by Toyota after prius. In Australia, the hybrid is called "Toyota Hybrid Camry", as opposed to "Camry Hybrid".
